Its opening mechanism distinguishes the pulley from similar models, such as those from Rock Exotica or Petzl. The Apex can be easily hooked into the rope with a maximum diameter of 13 mm. The 190 g pulley has two trapezoidal flanges on the underside to block the Prusiks. This minimizes the possibility of incorrect assembly.
